Brugmansia, “Angel’s Trumpet”, has historically been used as a hallucinogen and poison in various cultures. In the “Death and Transfiguration” series I am teasing out many other of the angels' hidden personalities; this indicates a way the historical “fine art floral” piece can be brought into the 21st century, by use of a historical method, darkroom photograms, or by photographing digitally over raking light. In every frame there is just one exposure and the mutable angel's trumpet is always the subject. (2008 - 2014)
