There is a suppressed sense of violence to driving on an undivided road amid near-misses from on-coming headlights. This project explores the visual dynamics and aesthetic qualities of the expansion of time and space as the camera views it from the passenger seat. This originated from a) personal difficulties learning to drive, b) wondering
why no one talks about this experience of danger, and c) a long term fascination with the
ways that photography as a medium uniquely renders action over a longer slice of time.
